Dates announced for Gothic Festival Waregem 2010!!

July 16th, 17th and 18th July 2010. Bands already booked include Covenant and Funker Vogt. The Gothic Festival Waregem website is currently undertaking a major re-working. Keep checking back for more information.

"Jed Phoenix of London heads to Belgium for Gothic Festival Waregem 2009"

Doing events is always good for finding out about other events, and at Whitby April 2009, Jed Phoenix was told about Gothic Festival Waregem by one of the other WGW traders. The sad news that Infest UK is taking a break in 2009 whilst the Bradford student union is refurbished meant that there was a lack of industrial and ebm festivals in the Jed Phoenix of London calendar. That is until we heard about Gothic Festival Waregem 2009, which takes place July 24th, 24th and 26th.

"Gary Numan headlines GFW"

If having another great industrial and ebm goth festival as part of the event calendar wasn't enough, Jed Phoenix was delighted to hear that one of her previous customers, Gary Numan, was headlining Gothic Festival Waregem on the Sunday night! Gary Numan and his wife, Gemma, visited Jed at the Electric Ballroom market, Camden Town, London in the early 2000s and bought several garments, including strap trousers, City Punk jacket and a modified strap tailcoat.

The line-up of bands at Gothic Festival Waregem 2009 is superb, with top quality goth and industrial bands from around the world, playing on two stages. You'll walk through the shopping area to get to the bands, all of which are under cover and protected from the weather. As with most big music festivals, nearby hotels and guesthouses are booked up in advance, but there is plenty of camping at Gothic Festival Waregem.

The organisers have been very friendly and patient in their correspondance with us, and we look forward to attending the event for the first time in July 2009.
